I kept a diary in my teenage years, and looking back on it fifty years later expecting to find wonderful recollections from the fifties and sixties. What did I get? January the 1st 1960 :
Didn't do much today, went down to the shops.
Jan 2nd : Didn't do much today, went to Austins and bought a model aeroplane kit.
Jan 3rd 1960 (Sun) Didn't do much today. It snowed.
Now what on Earth was the good of that!
